Generalized Phase-Space Representation of Operators

Phase space representations have proven their value in classical mechanics and ever since the work of Wigner [1] in quantum mechanics as well. The map introduced by Wigner from state functions to quasi-probability functions is notable for two fundamental properties. The first reason it is notable relates to the fact that, in general, the Wigner quasi-probability function is not everywhere nonne...

Representation of Noncommutative Phase Space

The representations of the algebra of coordinates and momenta of noncommutative phase space are given. We study, as an example, the harmonic oscillator in noncommutative space of any dimension. Finally the map of Schödinger equation from noncommutative space to commutative space is obtained. PACS number: 03.65Bz, 11.90.+t

Phase-space representation of speech

Speech production is essentially a nonlinear dynamic process. Motivated by ideas in dynamic system research, this paper seeks to recast the speech representation problem (front-end) as an attempt to reconstruct the phase space of the production process, or articulatory configurations. We point out that the use of the delta and double delta features, common in current ASR (Automatic Speech Recog...

Phase-space Representation for Qubits

Problems involving interacting spins or qubits are often regarded as computationally intractable. These are frequently considered as only being accessible using quantum computers, which are not yet developed. At the same time, there is a ‘chicken and egg’ problem: it is difficult to design a quantum computer with no effective means to simulate its behaviour, including inevitable sources of loss...

A Generalized Rule For Non-Commuting Operators in Extended Phase Space

A generalized quantum distribution function is introduced. The corresponding ordering rule for non-commuting operators is given in terms of a single parameter. The origin of this parameter is in the extended canonical transformations that guarantees the equivalence of different distribution functions obtained by assuming appropriate values for this parameter.
